Avepoint

1. Register an App for API Access in Avepoint

   1. https://learn.avepoint.com/elements/register-app.html

2. Required permissions

   1. elements.customers.read.all

   2. elements.jobs.read.all

   3. elements.cbprotected.read.all

3. Save Client ID/Client Secret

4. Register Tenant App Profiles for your each of your tenants

   1. Step 1: Select customer and tenant

      1. Select a customer/tenant pair

   2. Step 2: Select services

      1. Select Elements premium services > Other premium services

   3. Step 3: Choose setup method

      1. Choose modern

   4. Step 4: Consent to Apps

      1. Follow the steps for other premium services

      2. The app-type should be APElements Security and Analysis

      3. Note: App permissions may take up to 24 hours to propagate in Microsoft, so user account information may be missing on the first sync

5. Find the Avepoint integration on the integrations page in Cork Vantage

6. Paste your Client ID/Client Secret and press Connect

Troubleshooting

• Sometimes missing/unauthorized tenant app profiles will omit user data from specific tenants, if you're missing user information confirm an app tenant profile is in place, and re-authorize it by following these steps

  • In the Avepoint portal, navigate to Settings > Customer app profile section

  • Filter App type to APElements Security and Analysis

  • The items highlighted in yellow need to be re-authorized, so check the box and select Re-authorize app and authenticate with the client M365 account

    

  • After re-authorizing, refresh the connection in Cork Vantage to see the users appear
