Cynet

The new Cynet API requires an API user with an access key and secret key. The older username and password authentication methods no longer work.

  1. Create a new API user in Cynet

    1. Navigate to Settings > Users & Roles

    2. Click on the API users tab

    3. Click New

    4. Enter Cork for the display name and select a role from the dropdown list

      1. Cork's integration will require the ability to view groups, hosts, and alerts

      2. Ensure that the role you are selecting has the "API - basic commands" permission

    5. Select "All sites" or restrict access to certain sites by selecting "Custom" and checking the box next to each site

    6. Click Add

    7. Copy the Access Key and Secret Key

    8. Click Close

  2. Navigate to Cork's EDR section on the integration page

  3. Find Cynet and click Configure

  4. Paste your Access Key and Secret Key in the boxes

  5. Your domain should be the portal URL that you sign into Cynet

    1. It may be https://us.cynet.com or something similar

  6. Your primary site ID may be different based on how you organized your clients

    1. If you are organizing by sites, your primary site ID is your site GUID, you can find out how to identify that by following Cynet's documentation here

    2. If you are organizing by scan groups, your primary site ID is actually your client ID

      1. In the Cynet 360 console, navigate to Global Settings > Client Site Manager > Sites Status

      2. Locate your tenant and copy the client ID, it should be a number

  7. Click Connect and Continue
